witty + udo

Congratulations Witty and Udo!
The bride looked so gorgeous! We met new people, got to know a few acquaintances better and caught up with others. Thanks to Delovely Creative for making everything look so beautiful. A big thank you to Grouse Mountain, Pedersens for their lovely linens, Barbara and Jennifer from I Do Wedding Photography and Smooth Grooves for keeping those 80's dance songs going all night!
Have lots of fun in Santorini and we will see you when you get back!

freshly picked

Freshly picked for tonight's dinner. Yum.

We wrapped up a fantastic wedding rehearsal last night and headed over to Runway 26 at the River Rock for some tasty buffet delights. All 14 of us stuffed our bellies full and rolled out one by one. We can't wait for the wedding this weekend! Wishing for lots of blue skies and sunshine!

48 hours

3 hour wait at the border.. not for us! Hello Nexus line...

Wild blackberries at the border. Must eat before crossing...

It was a whirlwind trip to Portland this weekend. Last minute rendezvous are the best!
I only took 4 pictures, but at 37C weather, I was too hot to care. Guess what though!? We brought home a dresser! The search is over. $44!! Plus we got some cool dresser pulls from the restoration store for $2.50! Once the weather clears in Vancouver then we will give it a good sand and paint job. I'm thinking turquoise....

granville island

Squash anyone? They must chop this up for you to purchase. Otherwise, what would anybody do with this? Not only that, but how would they bring it home? It probably weighs more than a small child!

cheese... yummm

fresh flowers

Family run tomato garden with many different varieties that I have never even heard / seen before!

Rob's sister Sue and her significant other, Steve, are currently in Vancouver for the next week or so. Sue and Steve live in the BVI and are currently stopping in Vancouver before they head over to Kentucky for the Iron Man (Sue = competitor / Steve = cheerleader) and then they are off to Thailand where Steve's family currently lives (they are British and moved there from England). Got all that? So while they are in town, Rob's parents, who live on Mayne Island, are also over. Thank goodness that they rented two rooms at the guesthouse nearby, because everybody would not fit in our one bedroom place. Plus, it was 32C this weekend and this place was roasting even without 6 hot bodies in it.
Anyways... we headed down to Granville Island last week. It was fun pretending to be a tourist for the day!

vancouver

I am a cat stalker. It's true. I met 'Fangs' the first few days that we moved into the neighbourhood. He was so friendly and he has these huge front teeth hence the nick name Fangs. It turns out that Fangs' real name is actually Smokey and I now call him Smokeroo. Well... I thought that Smokeroo had moved away, but looks like he goes on summer vacation with his owners (lucky cat!). I was so happy to see that he had returned!
He lives in this massive shared house with another cat and a dog. Every time I walk past the house (which is pretty much everyday), I check for him. I'm sure the residents think I'm crazy. Anyways, these pictures were taken last week, so I leave you with some snapshots of my walk across the bridge into Downtown.

laura + tim
Laura and Tim were married on August 8th, 2008 - Congratulations!!
Here are a few quick pictures taken by me:

Bridal bouquets by the Flower Factory.

These altar arrangements from the Flower Factory blew me away. The picture doesn't do it justice.

Chair cover chaos - Thanks Holly and Charles for coming out and making the chairs look o so pretty!

Self portrait in the lobby.

This was one of the best guest books that I have ever seen at a wedding. Great twist to the polaroid!

Delish! Do you recognize the cake toppers from the last post?
A big thank you to Roseanne and the Flower Factory team, Masaki and Ed from HEE Creations, Paul, Maurice and Carmen from two in love, April from April Cakes, Jan and the HitMen from Musical Occasions for helping us make this day run so smoothly!
(look readers - I finally started adding labels!)
