style me pretty

I have been a big fan of the Style Me Pretty blog. It's chock block full of wedding design, inspiration and pretty pictures! The wedding industry went into a bit of a buzz earlier last week when SMP launched the Style Me Pretty Magazine! If you already follow the blog, you may recognize some of the images as the first issue features the best of 2010.

Don't let that stop you though. Just keep turning those pages back and forth and ooh and aahh along with the rest of us.

work spaces

Earlier this month, Craftzine started a feature called Craft Spaces. I'm such a studio space voyeur! I love peeking into other people's work areas. I posted about our living area back in November.

With the new year and the promise of keeping things clean, the Etsy Storque also posted an article called Studio Envy : Tips From Our Community's Inspiring Spaces.

wed :: inspiration :: all things meringue

A lot of couples seem to be passing on the traditional cake cutting, but dessert doesn't have to be boring.

Mix and match teacup saucers and mini cake stands for individual cakes or as part of a display.

The first time I had heard about Baked Alaska was when my Sims character achieved top levels in cooking and it became one of my meal options. Alas, who knew that people actually made this dish in real life! Here's a recipe.... strawberry and vanilla gelato with chocolate cake and then covered in meringue that has been toasted on the outside.

A mixture between mousse and gelato, semifreddi's are made with lemon curd and Italian meringue which is less fragile which allows meringue to hold in the oven, frozen or be torched.
